Seats

The majority of 3 wheel double buggies are designed as single pushchairs. However, some can be modified to accept the second seat using adapters. You'll also find that some models let you add a ride-on board to older children who want to walk, but need a little help.

If you're looking for a lightweight option that is ideal for city streets, check out the Joie Evalite Duo. It's a breeze to move and comes with a deep basket that has plenty of storage space. It can accommodate twins from at birth and will accept two car seats, or a carrycot that has a seat. The seats must face towards the front and there is no space to store an item under the seat. You will need an additional side bag.

If you like to take off-road trips, the Mountain Buggy Duet is a great choice. It's a side-by- tandem with the smallest footprint of any double buggy available. It is easier to get through narrow doors, on public transport and to climb over and over kerbs. It also has a handbrake on the adjustable handlebar to provide additional security and safety.

The UPPAbaby Vista 2 double is a lightweight option that can be used by twins or a baby and toddler. The seats have a multi-position reclining with UPF 50+ sunshades. The canopy can be adjusted to ensure that the sun doesn't touch your child's eyes. The Vista 2 can even be transformed into a triple using the addition of UPPAbaby's "PiggyBack board designed for mobile older kids.

The iCandy Orange double buggies are one of the most sought-after on the market. This is due to their superb comfort. It's an all-terrain vehicle, with a soft suspension to make easy work of bumpy surfaces. It can be used in 30 seating configurations, and comes with a built-in ride-on for older kids who prefer walking as well as a 'cinema' seating mode which raises the back seat for better visibility.

Alternately, the phil&teds dots is a great single buggy from the beginning that can then easily adapt to take 2 (or 3!) in various configurations. This is especially helpful when you have a child in a car seat as the frame can be fitted with a wedgie for optimum lying flat, or car seat adapters to various brands.



Suspension

The quality of the suspension on a triple buggy is crucial to how easy it will be for you and your baby to push. A smooth ride is essential since babies can feel every bump in the road, particularly if it's on rough terrain such as grass or dirt roads. Some models also have locking front wheels to help with maneuvering and getting over obstacles like curbs.

Some models use air-filled tyres which will give you a great all-terrain experience, but they can be susceptible to punctures, so make sure you have a spare set in the trunk. Some models have gel or foam tyres, which are specifically designed to handle bumps and can be less prone to punctures but you might find them to be a bit stiff and uncomfortable on your child's back when you decide to run.

The side-by-side is the most suitable buggy for city walks. It features a fantastic suspension system that lets you effortlessly and comfortably traverse any terrain. You can also upgrade the duet by adding our dual kit to be able to take 2 children - all within the same footprint!

Folding

A three-wheel double buggy can fold up pretty neatly to store it. In general, the more wheels a buggy comes with, the easier it will be to handle on rough terrain. This is particularly true if your wheels are bigger than the typical size. You will have more stability and it's less likely that you will have to flip or tip your child.

Pushchairs And Prams  is a popular choice. It can be used with an infant car seat from birth, and later converted into a double buggy side-by-side after your child has reached the age of. It's a light-feeling option which makes it easy to push and is packed with extra features, including raincover and a bumper bar.

The phil&teds sports is an alternative option. It is future-proof since it's an excellent buggy that can be altered to accommodate two (or three!) in its small footprint. It has an innovative three-wheel design that includes a sling for greater maneuverability and stability.

This is one of the best double buggies to run with your kids. It features a front wheel that can be locked, that will allow you to maintain control on hilly or off-road terrain. It also has a spacious undercarriage basket, a movable handlebar and soft suspension for comfortable riding.

This is a very lightweight and compact option that folds easily with one hand and is great for travel. It's compatible with a broad variety of infant car seats and has an easy-to-pull-out undercarriage bag that can be used to store things to shop. It's not cheap however it comes with several notable features, like its one-click folding and many extras, including a bumper bar or raincover.

Storage

Many people are amazed by the capacity of storage offered by the triple wheeled double buggy. Some models, like the Roma Atlas, have a large basket as well as two zip pockets on the hood where you can keep your phone and keys. It's also designed to deal with rough terrain, so it's a great option for family walks or all-terrain strolls.

This lets you get the best of all worlds.
